Who is JESUS?

Statement of Faith

God
  • We believe in One God, the Father, the Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth and of all that is seen and unseen; and in one Lord, Jesus Christ the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father: God also revealed Himself as the Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Spirit in the Church. (Genesis 1:1-31, Isaiah 43:11, Matthew 28:19)

  • Jesus Christ
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father (Matthew 1:21-23)

  • Holy Spirit
  • The Spirit was the moving force in creation, "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters". The Holy Spirit is also the moving force in the church. The Holy Spirit is God Himself living within the spirit of the believer. The role of the Holy Spirit is to equip and empower the believer on their journey to becoming the perfect reflection of Jesus Christ. (John 14:16, 26, John 16:13, Acts 1:8)

  • Bible
  • We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error. The Bible is the revelation of God's truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 17:17)

  • Salvation
  • The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe in Him. Salvation is the restoration of human fellowship with God and the deliverance of the entire creation from the bondage of sin and death. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23, John 14:6, Acts 4:12)

  • Baptism
  • Water baptism by full immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a participation in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism of the Spirit and fire refers to the regenerating and purifying work of the Holy Spirit. (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, Matthew 3:13-14)

  • Miracles
  • We believe in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit, in divine healing, miracles, prosperity and the power of prayers through faith in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ by the anointing of the Holy Ghost. (Mark 16:15-20, Matthew 8:16-17)
